Early Season Upland Bird Hunting

Being a great shot is fantastic, but early season, it is the teamwork between the dog
and hunter that leads to success.
During this period, we take the time to cook coffee on campfire's and fish to provide lunch when we get the opportunity.
These hunts are conducted on Ski's. In contrast with the early season hunts, we usually do not have a dog with us and the shotgun is traded for a light caliber rifle.
We now stalk- hunt the bird as it is fouraging on the treetops in a snow covered landscape.
